Electric RaceAbout is the World's Fastest EV on Ice

On Saturday March 17th 2012 Janne Laitinen, test driver for Nokian Tyres, did an incredibly fast return trip with Electric RaceAbout on the frozen Lake Ukonjärvi in north of Finland (68.776014,27.445682). Laitinen and E-RA achieved an average speed of 252.09 km/h (156.67 mph) for one kilometer driven in both directions within just under 6 minutes. The recorded top speed during this record run was 260.06 km/h (161.63 mph).
